* Our Boop Tee showcases the world renowned Betty Boop, whom actually took inspiration from the late, great Esther Lee Jones, better known as “Baby Esther”. Baby Esther was a singer and child entertainer of the late 1920’s who took her fame as a young girl. Though a story full of mystery, it is clear to tell that Baby Esther, the young, ever talented, African American child, was the inspiration to a timeless cartoon character, Betty Boop. These are the sole reasons why we chose to spotlight her on our Black History Month Tee.
